Midway has over 30 years experience in softwood and hardwood plantation management, from land selection, establishment, maintenance through to harvesting and marketing.
Midway manages plantations on freehold and leased land held predominantly in the Otways, Upper Goulburn and Ballarat regions of Victoria. Through its subsidiary Plantation Management Partners, Midway manages plantations in northern Australia.
Midway currently manages over 50,000 ha of plantation across Australia.
Our conventional business model involves: forming institutional partnerships and acquiring land for investment and development; establishing plantations; plantation management; harvesting and hauling logs; processing; and export sales.
Carbon Solutions
Midway manages all aspects of large-scale carbon abatement projects for our partners.
Our carbon solutions division is a natural extension to our long-standing expertise in plantation management. We are supporting businesses as they transition their models to a low carbon economy and ensure their operations are fit for the net-zero future.
Overview
Offering an end-to-end solution, Midway sources land, establishes and manages all aspects of plantation and carbon operations. We also provide end market services for the sale of carbon and woodfibre products. Our expertise allows us to work closely with all key stakeholders through the value chain to deliver the project.
